Culture Climate Assessment: Non-Profit Edition
A self-guided survey designed specifically for nonprofits to better understand staff perceptions, organizational culture, and barriers to equity.
The Nonprofit Edition of our Culture Climate Assessment (CCA-NP) is designed for organizations that want to take the first step in understanding their workplace culture and equity readiness without committing to a full consulting engagement. This is a self-implementation tool, meaning you will lead the process internally, from forming steering committees to securing leadership buy-in and facilitating follow-up conversations.
With this version, you receive a survey tailored to nonprofit settings and a customized analysis with recommendations. What you won’t receive is a full organizational profile that compares your results against peer organizations in your sector, nor the benefit of live facilitation or in-person professional support. In other words, this is a “you drive” model; the insights are clear, but the responsibility for using them rests with your team.
The tool can be used as a one-time assessment or revisited as often as you’d like to measure progress against your own benchmarks. Each re-use requires a purchase at full price. While studies consistently show that organizations achieve greater long-term success when assessments are conducted with outside experts rather than led solely by internal staff, this option remains a valuable starting point. It provides nonprofits with a structured framework to identify areas for growth, initiate critical conversations, and begin laying the foundation for a healthier, more equitable culture.
The CCA–NP is best seen as both a launch pad and a mirror: a way to start the work and reflect on where you stand, while leaving the implementation entirely in your hands.
